I do not advocate violence or destruction of property, even against things I’m against, like violating the separation of church and state by erecting monuments to a religion on public property. Moreover, I’m proud of the organizations on my side of this issue, such as the ACLU and the Freedom from Religion Foundation, for their condemnation of this action, even though both organizations fought to prevent the monuments’ erection (huh-huh). That said, I find it odd that Christians are upset about this. It is, after all, traditional to destroy Commandment tablets, the first set, at least. For that matter, the Ten Commandment tablets are clearly described as “two tablets . . . inscribed on both sides, front and back. The tablets were the work of God; the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets (Exodus 32:15-16).” And yet, every picture of these monuments I’ve seen has been single-sided, and most are single tablets (though, admittedly, some of them are scrotum-shaped, which I guess could imply two tablets). Doesn’t the Bible say something about adding to or taking away from the Word of God being blasphemous?
Why are Christians trying to rewrite Judeo-Christian history?! Why do they hate the Bible?!
In researching this track, I discovered that this was at least the second Ten Commandment monument this guy has destroyed, which is kind of interesting.

Personally, I just would like to see more courthouses post the Beatitudes. At least I agree with most of those.
Yeah, funny that those never get erected anywhere, isn’t it?
Also, why aren’t any evangelists clamoring to get the Golden Rule carved into judges’ benches, or “He who lives by the sword…” over the gates to our military bases?
It’s a mystery.
What about the other five commandments – as told by Mel Brooks (a certified jew btw!)??
Heh – blue-eyed Moses…
