If the Bible is to be believed, God is, in fact, a Royalist, at least since the Books of Kings. I don’t believe there’s a single reference to democracy in the Bible (but the early Church in Acts was absolutely communist), which you’d think an omniscience God wouldn’t overlook, if he weren’t against it. So why don’t more people consider Christianity to be a threat to democracy?
