I sincerely hope that the tempest tossed refugees from the hellscape that is Syria can all reach the point at which how to clean a furry costume is their biggest problem. Moreover, people with that kind of First World problem don’t generally blow things up. Being more welcoming of refugees isn’t just a matter of compassion and, well, being humane, it’s a matter of national security as well. The more Muslims who achieve the American dream, the fewer who will be inclined to shout “death to America.” It’s not that difficult a concept.

I’ll be honest, I choked myself up a little with this one. I spend so much time making fun of the awful in the world, it’s nice to occasionally get to make a joke about some of the beauty in the world as well.

Oh. Yeah. Today’s my birthday. I’m officially middle-aged, assuming I live to be 90. For my birthday, talk up this strip to all of your friends and acquaintances. I would really like to build the WtB audience just a bit. You could also support my Patreon. Just sayin’.

We’re going to be at Northeast Comic Con June 18th-19th; and my band, Ed for a Day, will be playing the Tilton/Northfield Old Home Day in Tilton, NH on June 25th, from noon to 1:30. Come see us if you’re around for any of those!

If you enjoy “With the Band”, please consider supporting our Patreon. Producing a strip like this three times a week requires a LOT of work and a little bit of expense. So please help me keep this going and support us. We’ll give you some awesome pictures of squirrels in return!
