As I’ve stated before, I don’t dislike Hillary Clinton, and I certainly don’t believe even a fraction of the lies the Right has told about her over the years. I think she will make a good president–likely better than her husband was, if not as good as President Obama–but I do not like the way she campaigns. I didn’t care for it in 2008, and I really don’t like it now. There was so much wrong in what she said in the incident in which she now infamously said, “I am so sick of the Sanders campaign lying about me.” One, Sanders has pretty carefully kept his comments to the facts of her campaign finance, and refrained from speculating about whether those donations have corrupted Clinton. Two, the person who questioned her wasn’t with the Sanders campaign, she was with Greenpeace. Three, Clinton really has taken millions of dollars from Wall Street and fossil fuel companies. And yet, the mainstream media, especially The Washington Post, has been parroting Clinton’s version of reality with almost religious fervor.
Anyway, credit where it’s due: the connection between Hillary Clinton’s disingenuous accusations that Bernie Sanders is lying is Tina’s, and this strip was entirely her idea. I hope I did it justice.
