On a sad note, a friend of mine from college succumbed to cancer yesterday. I didn’t know her extremely well–she was a year ahead of me and regrettably i was only there a year myself–but we had so many close friends in common, it felt like we were siblings. Before he died, Jim Henson said that it was his hope to leave the world a bit better than when he got here. I’ve always considered that both the noblest and humblest of goals. Sarah, you left the world more than just a bit better than when you got here. Rest in peace, my friend. You’ve earned it.

Beginning Monday, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens spoilers will be getting a bit more spoilish, so if you haven’t seen the movie yet (and it’s been over a month!), then you really should do so–or else stop reading WtB for a couple weeks. If I stick to my schedule, I should be done with the spoilers by the February 5th track (just in time for the New Hampshire Primary!).
