Track #142: I’m Looking out for Angels

142 I'm Looking Out for Angels

I never really understood exactly what Ham’s sin was, let alone why Noah thought it so egregious as to justify cursing his son’s entire lineage. Some scholars have said what he did was as trivial as laughing at Noah; others say he anally raped his father. Even the latter (which, we would all agree, would have been pretty bad) still doesn’t seem to justify enslaving generations. But then, I’m not an omnipotent, all-loving deity, so what do I know?

I hope you caught my homage to Bill Cosby’s brilliant “Noah” routine. I saw Cosby perform that in Toronto in 1978 (or maybe ’79) when I was eight or so. It was my first experience with live stand-up comedy, and I’ve been hooked ever since!
